Hollywood Insider Interview with Actor and Model Andreas Holm-Hansen
Hollywood World: What are you currently working on?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: Currently I’m working on keeping myself busy. Expanding my network, looking for new opportunities, staying in shape and keeping myself focused on the next thing to come.
Hollywood World: What do you love about the role that you are currently playing?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: Currently I’m not part of a project. So my current role is simply myself hunting for the next booking.
Hollywood World: What makes a good scene partner?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: There are a lot of elements that can make a great scene partner. Someone who really listens, isn’t afraid of taking chances and making choices, and has the courage to improvise and not be afraid to fail. When you can really dig into a scene with a partner you trust, that’s when real magic can happen and that’s when you can grow with your craft.
Hollywood World: What are your favorite projects you have been part of?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: I have been very fortunate to have worked many amazing jobs in different parts of the world which is always exciting. My first real acting job was when I was just starting out as an actor an booked a role in a mini-series in Sweden. I had very little experience in front of the camera but still I was booked for this big project that was going to be shot with a professional crew and shown in TV in all of Scandinavia. That was definitely a kick starter, or booster if you will, to really pursue acting as a career.
Hollywood World: What have you learned from the directors that you have worked with throughout your career?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: One thing I always learn is a new way for me to listen. Every director has their own way of directing. So listening in on how they communicate with the crew before they start working with me helps me understand their way of working. This allows me to better connect and understand the director I’m working with on a project and helps me see their vision when they talk about what they “see” in my performance.
Hollywood World: What other types of movies would you be interested in filming?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: Since I started acting I’ve had a list of roles/characters I’d love to play. I’ve always wanted to play a boxer/fighter, a football player and the ultimate childhood dream is to play a superhero haha!
Hollywood World: What was your most memorable role?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: As I mentioned earlier, the first project I did in Sweden when I had lines and was part of a big production is a project I will always cherish as it was my first big thing. It gave me a taste of what the acting world had to offer.
Hollywood World: What are some career highlights in both acting and modeling?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: Being able to travel with work is amazing. I like to celebrate every victory as a highlight, which I recommend everyone trying to become an actor or model. We get tons of rejections so every time we get the booking, celebrate it, because it means you, out of the tens or hundreds that were considered for the job, you got it!
Hollywood World: What runway shows have you been part of?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: B. Scott and Burning Guitar for LAFW. Han Kjøbenhavn for Copenhagen FW. Qchardo Homme had a private show in Beverly Hills during LAFW which was amazing as it was intimate, the clothes were so cool and the atmosphere was just perfect. Haven’t done any “big” shows yet, been trying for years to get my foot in the door but haven’t gotten in yet.
Hollywood World: How do you see your role as a model?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: Right now I see myself as a cool and unique product some people/brands want to use to help market their products, services or something third. As I grow I hope to someday become a role-model to some people. Influence confidence and positivity into strangers lives.
Hollywood World: What are your personal goals?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: I want to become a full-time working actor. Being part of amazing projects, surrounded by amazing people, create memories and work that will inspire people. Along the way I have short term goals I’d like to achieve like, becoming a brand ambassador for a nutrition company, do a campaign for a sportswear company, shoot with some of the photographers I idolize. One success at a time to reach the top.
Hollywood World: How do you stay in shape?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: Eat healthy and work out haha. It’s really that simple. I often take time to look up inspiration for new workouts and exercises I can add to my routines as well as finding inspiration on how to eat healthy.
Hollywood World: Any tips about how to be a successful actor/model?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: Work work work. Like anything else, there really is no shortcut. If you put in the work people will notice. And be sure you are doing it out of passion. Chase the passion, never the money, the money will come eventually.
Hollywood World: Do you have an agency that represents you?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: I have few modeling agencies in Scandinavia and that’s it. I don’t have an theatrical agent right now but I’m working on it. I’m trying hard to get representation for modeling in Los Angeles and New York as well as big cities in Europe. Asia is another market I’m really trying to get into! It’s been a dream for so many years to go there and trying to push my portfolio out there almost daily to get an opportunity there.
Hollywood World: What’s next? What else can we expect from you this year?
Andreas Holm-Hansen: Definitely some more commercial work and modeling for sure. I have some cool things in the works with some great people so we’ll see how much of it will happens this year. But I can promise I won’t be sitting still 🙂 So please follow along my journey, you’re all invited!
